Australian Tea Tree Oil Giveaway
Tea tree oil (or melaleuca oil) is a helpful essential oil to have in your home. It is widely used in topical applications to treat infections like acne, athlete’s foot and for cuts, abrasions, insect bites and stings. Some people add it to bath water to treat cough and congestion.
Known for its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, tea tree oil is good for keeping germs away from your kitchen and bath.
Homemade Cleaner with Tea Tree Oil from Apothecary Extracts
Mix 4 cups of water, 2 tablespoons vinegar , and 20 drops of Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil in a large spray bottle. The acidic qualities in the vinegar and the antiseptic properties of tea tree help to kill germs and reduce microbial growth, making it ideal and safe as a natural kitchen disinfectant. Consider adding 2 teaspoons of castile soap for added scrubbing benefits.
The bathroom is another great place to use your mixture. After you’ve wiped the counter, take a swipe at the handles, faucets and doorknobs.
Tea tree oil can even be used in the dishwasher, washing machine, and humidifier. Use it anywhere you want a natural cleaning boost.
We may think of the cold and flu season as the best time to increase our germ-killing arsenal, but you should incorporate it into your regular weekly household cleaning routine. Using it year-round, will help reduce the amount of harsh household cleaners you use in your home.
