How to Make Farmer Cheese
I’ve been experimenting with making my own yogurt the last month or so. When I saw the post this week from SyncopatedMama for farmer cheese, I knew I had to give it a try. It looks to be even easier than yogurt making and is a great skill to have in the kitchen.
Cheese making is one of the goals I’ve set for myself this year (but one I’ve yet to start). This seems to be the perfect introduction that can be accomplished in just a few hours.
Be sure and stop by her post – Easy Beginning Homemade Cheese – and give it a try.
Preparedness Mama and its collaborators have created a one-stop shop of critical resources for families looking to prepare for disaster. We know firsthand that getting ready for the worst with a big family poses some particular challenges.
We’ve learned from the past so that you don’t have to make the same mistakes again. Fear of the unknown is one of the scariest things in life, but we hope that Preparedness Mama’s treasure trove of practical advice will make that unknown less daunting and ultimately help take the scared out of being prepared for every single one of our readers.
Thanks so much for featuring my cheese post, Shelle! It IS easier than yogurt, so I hope that means you get a chance to try it soon. We’re adding some to our pizza tonight (that I froze!) Have a great weekend and thanks for hosting such a fun party!
Hi Lisa, I’m giving it a try this weekend. I really like the fact that you can freeze this cheese. We freeze store bought all the time, but some how I didn’t think it would work with fresh.
