3 Ways to Extend the Growing Season

By PreparednessMama on July 20, 2018 * 4 Comments

Extend Your Gardening Season with a Hoop House on Front Porch Friday | PreparednessMamaThis week The Homesteading Hippy submitted a post about making a simple hoop house to extend the growing season. I’ve seen this done before in several different ways, but not for this inexpensive.

She covered her two raised beds for under $60. Now that’s a deal!

Now you may think a hoop house is not necessary in my part of the world – after all, I only need to worry about fromt from December 5th to March 15th  – but I still want to be able to extend the growing season as long as possible.

Adding a hoop house to my raised beds will let me garden all year long, with no down time.  Be sure to stop by her post to see this easy way to extend the growing season with a DIY hoop house.

Thank you to Mama Kautz for choosing my post “Chickens” as her feature! (I tried leaving a comment on her blog but kept getting an error message.) Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Shelle!
