We would love to hear your thoughts!

Preparedness and self-reliance skills are traits we encourage. In ourselves and others.

This website is our way to help you get prepared for life’s challenges and disasters. As we help you, we also help ourselves. It’s been fun and educational to make DIY preparedness items and show you how to do them too.

We are always looking for new ways to be prepared. Send us your ideas; we would love to hear what you want to know. We wish you much success as you travel your life prepared for whatever comes your way.

FEMA Preparedness CommunityWe encourage you to join the FEMA National Preparedness Community. We have pledged to prepare by joining.

The National Preparedness Community, facilitated by FEMA, is where we can connect, collaborate, and empower ourselves, and each other, to prepare.

Specifically we:
– Learn from each other and share resources
– Connect with each other and Emergency Management personnel
– Coordinate, participate in, and engage others in preparedness activities

Once you are signed up as a Community Member, you will have access to ready-to-use materials that you can use to learn how to prepare yourself and others.

You will also have access to national, regional, and community of practice groups where you can connect with others and get the help you need to prepare your community
