The end of the year is a natural time for review. As 2015 comes to a close I thought we should take a look at some of the more popular books that were presented on the blog.
This year has been busy for our family. We’ve obtained new gardening skills through hard work and practice, incorporating more raised bed and straw bale gardening into the overall mix.
We’ve also honed our food storage cooking skill with preservation ideas from The Backyard Homestead and the Organic Canner.
And we became even more prepared as we went about setting up water storage at our new home. Preparedness is a way of life for our family and these books have helped us become even more ready to face the daily challenges of life.
Perhaps you will consider some of these titles for your preparedness library… just click on the picture to be taken to the post review.
Gardening Books
Gardening is one of my passions and this collection of books gave me terrific reminders about why I garden and also taught me some new techniques.

Food Storage Books
Food Storage has been a big part of the way my family saves money on groceries. We buy in bulk and preserve as much as we can. If you struggle to figure out what to do for fresh or preserved meals, these books will give you great ideas.

Preparedness Books
Preparedness and self-reliance are the foundations of my planning. It really all comes from my quest to provide for my family in the best possible way. In 2015 I had the opportunity to review many books for my blogger friends and to make some new acquaintances. These books are a great addition to my preparedness library and ones I refer to often.
